How do I place an order? You have 2 options:
ONLINE:  If you have not yet signed in, please do so, or please set-up a new account.
Then you can view the menu either from the home page or the tonight’s menu page.
If you would like to search for dietary options such as vegan, dairy free, gluten free or others, please click the Dietary Options tab on the home page to view our selections.
To find out more about a dish, click on it to see more details on its cook, its ingredients and nutritional content.
To order a dish, select the quantity of servings you want to order and click ADD to add it to your cart.
Once your dinner is selected in your cart, head to checkout.
During checkout you will have the option to select your delivery time window or the option to pick up your order at our kitchen.
You will receive an email confirmation with your order details.
You will also receive an email once your order is on its way to be delivered to you.

What time do you post your new menu?
Our menu is posted Monday through Friday beginning at 10AM.

I saw a dish earlier today but now it shows sold out - what happened?
Because Dish Republic Chefs prepare small batch craft cuisine in limited quantities fresh daily, our servings are available on a first come, first served basis.
You can see availability listed for each dish until it is sold out.
Once sold out, the item will no longer be available to order for that day.

If I have favorite dishes and Chefs, how will I know when they will be available at Dish Republic?
Under your Dish Republic profile, you can select preferred Chefs and dishes so that we can notify you when they are available.
You can also sign-up to receive daily or weekly emails with our menus.

How late can I place my order?
Our order cut-off time is 5:00PM Monday-Friday (4:30PM for zip code 92637).
Of course that’s only for dishes that are still in stock.

Where are Dish Republic's kitchen?
Our kitchens are located in Irvine, at 17805 Sky Park Circle, adjacent to the John Wayne International Airport.

How can I follow my favorite Chef at Dish Republic?
Each Dish Republic Chef has their own page on our website with their dishes, along with their professional details. You can follow them through Dish Republic’s social media pages.

What type of food will I find at Dish Republic?
There is no set menu or pre-determined culinary themes.
Our menu varies daily to feature new Chefs and new recipes to offer the best variety, and use the freshest ingredients available.

How realistic are the photos of dishes I am ordering on your website?
Our goal is to portray each dish as accurately as possible.  Because our Chefs prepare each dish daily, they may occasionally opt for presentation variations depending upon ingredients.

What are the portion sizes?
Each dish lists a portion size and ingredients for that portion size.  Please note that protein weights are listed as pre-cooked weights.

How can I add a dish to my order?
You can add any available dish to your order up to one hour before the start of your scheduled delivery window.

What if I have food allergies?
We list the ingredients for each recipe.  However, we understand that you may have specific questions about ingredients.  We would be pleased to answer any questions about ingredients, so please forward any inquiries:

What if I need to modify the delivery time for my order?
You can change the delivery time for your order anytime up to 4:00PM Monday through Friday.  It's best to call us with your changes at 800.721.8816 or email us at support@dishrepublic.com.

Oops something came up and I need to reduce or cancel my order.
Because we allocate our limited servings to your order, all orders placed at www.dishrepublic.com are considered final once they are placed.  Therefore we are unable to accept any cancellations. If you need to reach us to discuss your order, please contact us:

Do I need to tip a driver?
The driver delivering your dinner is not expecting a gratuity.  
However, if you would like to tip, please do so directly with the driver at the time of delivery.

How do I pay for my order?
All payments are made by credit card only at the time you place your order, credit cards accepted are: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

How do I know my order has been placed?
Once you complete the order payment process, you will receive an order confirmation email listing the order number along with order and delivery details .


Are Credit Card Payments Secure?
Our checkout is secured by Big Commerce, a leading e-commerce platform, and our Credit Card processor is Chase Paymentech, a subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase, a global leader in payment processing.  Your credit card number is never stored on any of our servers. Dish Republic is an SSL-protected site.

Is your packaging eco friendly?
Our hot held packaging is re-usable and recyclable, while ensuring a consistent temperature profile with optimal presentation.  We have tried every eco friendly and sugarcane product on the market for our hot held dishes and unfortunately all sugarcane and eco friendly products fail to maintain their integrity and fail to keep hot food at proper temperatures.  If anyone reading this FAQ has new eco or sugarcane product valid for hot holding, please let us know.  In the meantime, we will continue to use traditional MICROWAVE SAFE containers.


Is your packaging microwave, oven and freezer friendly?
Microwave: Only our hot held packaging is microwave safe as noted on the packaging.
Freezer: Our hot held packaging is freezer safe.
Oven: None of our packaging is oven safe.

 Consumer Advisory: Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish or eggs may increase your risk of food borne illness, especially if you have certain medical conditions.

 What does Dish Republic do with any unsold food?

Dish Republic is actively involved in Community Outreach programs, giving back to the community that supports us.  Here are specifics on the charities we are actively involved with:

community-wnoc.jpgTHE WASTE NOT OC COALITION:  a public/private partnership striving to meet the nutritional needs of our community by facilitating the donation and distribution of wholesome surplus food.

Dish Republic supplies excess food to Waste Not OC, because we share the Coalition’s vision that to capture food that is otherwise wasted and direct it to people in need, could end hunger in Orange County.

WNOC is a public-private partnership formed with the goal of eliminating hunger and reducing food waste by facilitating the donation of wholesome surplus food from food producing facilities to local pantries. The coalition is reaching out, educating, and partnering with food producing facilities to donate their excess food instead of throwing the food away. WNOC thrives on minimal funding and generous in-kind contributions. WNOC partners with Food Finders, a 501c3 nonprofit organization that does the work of transporting excess wholesome food from food producing facilities (hospitals, restaurants, and other businesses) to pantries that serve communities in need. The overall vision of the coalition is to end hunger in Orange County using a three pronged approach: educating the community about food donations, identifying food insecure individuals, and connecting those individuals to sources of food.   For more information, please visit Wastenotoc.org.
